After the rage, sadness, the large expulsion of emotionality has burned off, a feeling of calm quiet envelops you. Who do you become when your feelings no longer are hammering at the doors of your conscious? Poppies are a symbol of rest, of sleep, of death, and the girl in the field plucks one to fill the void in her heart. Emptiness can be terrifying, as it can result from both shock or from a cataclysmic life event. Sit in the emptiness, meditate, and the hole will close itself over time. Do not try to fill it yourself with people, places, or things.
