The Cease of Toxicity (painting)

This painting counts as a warning and a boundary. The Victorian flower language has been used as a silent form of communication since the 1800s, now passing into even more obscurity as the times march on. 

A bouquet of spider Lilies and butterfly weed signify a brief but to the point “this ends now” while the coral snake warns of the consequences of ignoring the message. 

This painting measures 9”x12” and has a 3/4” margin. It was painted with gouache and sumi ink and drawn with micron pens.
