Tethered Sight

Completed in January of 2025, this painting is a meditation on sight and perception in the face of deception. The sun and sky are bright and bold, while a spider has left a cobweb upon a flower known for its ability to cause blindness upon ingestion (monkshood, aconite). 

Protecting the truth and challenging your biases daily is becoming more and more imperative in America, and this 8.5”x11” gouache painting on Masonite will be a brightly colored reminder to never stop searching for the truth, even when it gets dark.
