Omens//Visions: The Isle of Dreams

Part of Everett’s new series, Visions//Omens, the artist examine their dreams and creative concepts found in meditations. These omens or visions are sometimes unprompted, and lead to further reflection on the images and feelings that they’re left with upon painting what was seen. 

One of the artists most memorable recurring dreams, the viewer sees the views of stark white cliffs with a natural arch. We also see a view overlooking the cliffs, where a castle rises atop an oceanic island, surrounded by meadows of crocus. The constellation Corona Borealis shines just behind, a token of welsh mythology and the goddess Arianrhod.
