The Moonflower raises its nightly blooms to the sky, where handfuls of light streak across the sky. Are they stars? Meteorites? Or perhaps a more terrestrial threat?
We often don’t think about the natural impact of war, what do the flowers or creatures think is happening? What are the lasting effects, after the bombs are dropped? Are they, like us, never the same afterward?
This tiny and beautiful meditation on the calm before the storm asks us to evaluate our own actions, and act where we can.
