Reap and Sow, original painting
Reap and Sow, original painting
The very first painting finished in Everett’s art studio, this painting came as a response to 47s reinstatement to the Oval Office. Playing once more with floral symbolism and calling up Everett’s experience with folk herbalism, the plants used in this work of art symbolize feminine ambition and self determination in the form of controlling the course of one’s future.
For Everett and many like them, current events threaten existing rights pertaining to access in healthcare. This painting serves as a reminder that ambition and free will cannot be killed by higher powers, and that one always has a choice.
dimensions of this painting are 12”x24” and made using gouache paint, ink pens, sumi ink, and acrylic varnish on wood panel.
